SCUMC participates in the VDOT Adopt-A-Highway Program.  We are assigned the 2 mile section of U.S. Route 11 between the southern Stephens City Town limits and Salem Church Road.  We are required to remove the trash and litter from this section of highway at least twice per year.  Our last cleaning was held in the spring of 2022 and we had 18 volunteers to participate which helped us complete the task in approximately 60 minutes.  We will meet at the church around 9:30 am for instructions and to gather our supplies before proceeding to the cleanup area.
